The battle that was expected to be between U Mumba’s defence and Telugu Titan’s new look attack, concluded at 31-25 in favour of U Mumba. During the clash, focus was set on Siddharth Desai who moved from Mumba to Titans this season, becoming the most expensive player during the auction. Last season Siddharth Desai had registered 221 points.

As the season propels, here are the three most expensive players of Pro Kabaddi League 7.

Siddharth Desai

Siddharth Desai-Rs 1.45 Crore:

Siddharth Desai became the second most expensive player in the history of PKL, where he is behind Monu Goyat who was bought for Rs 1.51 crore last year. Siddharth Desai was roped in by the Telugu Titans for a whopping Rs 1.45 crore to replace Rahul Chaudhari who left the team to join Tamil Thalaivas after six yeras. Desai had become the fastest player to reach 50 raid points and then equalled the record to 100 raid points last season.

Nitin Tomar

Nitin Tomar-Rs 1.20 Crore:

One of the most dependable player in the PKL, Nitin Tomar struggled last season because of an injury, He was held on by Puneri Paltan for a whopping Rs 1.20 crore by using their FBM card. Member of the Kabaddi World Cup winning team in 2016, Tomar was the most expensive player in season 5 at Rs 93 lakh.

Rahul Chaudhari

Rahul Chaudhari-Rs 94 Lakh:

Rahul Chaudhari’s supremacy might have scaled down because of the arrival of Pradeep Narwal and Pawan Sehrawat, but he remains to be league’s all time top point getter with 888 points in 101 matches. This season he has been signed by the Tamil Thalaivas for staggering Rs 94 lakh and this season could mark his comeback as Tamil Thalaivas would have formidable attacking line up with India captain Ajay Thakur and raider Shabeer Bapu. Not to forget, Chaudhari will always have Manjeet Chhillar on the mat to watch his back.
