World's 'heaviest woman' Eman Ahmed dies in Abu Dhabi

Eman Ahmed, who was once titled as 'the world's heaviest woman', passed away in Abu Dhabi on 25 September in Burjeel Hospital.

She died just a week after celebrating her 37th birthday.

Hospital officials said that numerous co-morbid conditions including heart diseases and kidney dysfunction resulted in her death.

Earlier in February this year, Eman, was brought to Mumbai's Saifee Hospital for weight-loss treatment and transferred to Burjeel Hospital on 4 May after spending three months in Mumbai. She weighed 504kg when she arrived in Mumbai on 11 February.

She was a resident of Alexandria, Egypt.
