Weather Report Alert: Amid Coronavirus fear Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, UP to receive rain and hailstone

Delhi and its adjoining areas Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Rajasthan to witness rainfall in next to days. As per the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that on Thursday skies of Delhi-NCR will be partly cloudy.

The effect of easterly disturbance and rain is forecasted on Friday while the effect of western disturbance can bring hailstorms in Delhi.


Due to strengthening of anti-cyclone over the Bay of Bengal and consequently moisture feeding over East and adjoining Central India. Scattered to fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall activity is very likely over Odisha during 19th-22nd March, Jharkhand during 20th-22 March and over Gangetic West Bengal during 21st-22nd March.

Thunderstorm accompanied by lightning/hail/gusty winds is likely over Chhattisgarh during 19th-21st March.

Looking at the forecast one can expect that a fresh spell of good rain in western parts of Punjab, West Rajasthan and West Haryana by evening hours of 24th March. As per Met department, there is a possibility of another fresh Western Disturbance to approach the western Himalayas by 30th March or 31st March that may impact the plains of the North.
