Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu on Tuesday arrived in Romania's Bucharest city for the last leg of his three-nation tour. He was received by Vice Prime Minister of Romania Ana Birchall, among other officials.
Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Raveesh Kumar tweeted, "70 years of diplomatic relations between two countries! Vice President @MVenkaiahNaidu received a warm welcome from Vice Prime Minister of Romania, Ana Birchall upon his arrival in Bucharest.@VPSecretariat @eoiromania."
During the visit, Vice President Naidu is slated to hold meetings with the Romanian President, Prime Minister and President of the Chamber of Deputies, among others. He will also address the business representatives of India and Romania at a business forum and the Indian community.
After completing his bilateral engagements, the Vice President will then depart for India on September 20.
