Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) leader Ashok Singhal was admitted to Medanta Hospital in Delhi on 14 November night in a critical condition.
According to hospital sources, he was kept in the ICU on ventilator support. Singhal has been facing serious respiratory problems. He had earlier been admitted to the same hospital on 20 October after he fell ill in Allahbad.
Home Minister Rajnath Singh visited Singhal in the hospital on 15 November morning and reportedly spent 15 minutes with the VHP leader.
I pray for the speedy recovery of Shri Ashok Singhal

On Saturday, BJP president Amit Shah, party general secretary (organisation) Ram Lal and Union Health Minister JP Nadda visited the VHP leader. VHP international vice president Om Parkash Singhal, general secretary Champat Rai and other leaders also visited Medanta.
Keeping Singhal's ill health in mind, the VHP has cancelled its 18-day Chaturved Swahakar Yajna that was slated to start at Delhi's Birla Mandir on 16 November, as well as its Diwali Milan programme.
