A Delhi court on Saturday asked American multinational company Apple Inc to give details of expelled BJP MLA Kuldeep Sengar’s location by October 9. Kuldeep Singh Sengar is accused of raping a 17-year old girl back in 2017.
The company counsel told the court that they need to seek instructions regarding the availability of the data because it is not known whether the data is stored, and if yes, where is it stored. The company counsel further said they were yet to take a decision on the format in which the data, if available, can be supplied to the court.
The court has already framed charges against Kuldeep Sengar and put him on trial. The woman was allegedly raped by Sengar in 2017 when she was a minor.
The victim’s father was arrested on April 3, 2018, in a case filed by police under Arms Act. He died in custody six days later.
The rape survivor was critically injured after she met with a car accident on July 28, 2019, while two of her relatives, one of whom was a key witness were killed. The incident happened near Rae Bareli district in Uttar Pradesh where the car in which they were traveling collided with a truck.
