Two BSF personnel injured in Imphal IED blast

Two Border Security Force (BSF) personnel sustained injuries after a low intensity Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast took place near Kangpokpi town along Imphal-Dimapur road on NH-1 today.

The blast took place at around 10: 45 am. The injured BSF personnel have been identified as Captain Anil Kumar and Captain Lalji Yadav. As reported, Captain Kumar suffered a minor splinter injury on his hand whereas Captain Yadav has suffered an injury on his leg.

Both injured personnel of the 54 Battalion were provided medical aid.

Earlier on 5 August, one child, and two CRPF personnel were injured in an IED blast. The blast took place near the Manipur State Museum located near the Imphal polo grounds.The injured CRPF personnel belonged to 109 Battalion Echo Company and were on daily routine duty guarding Raj Bhavan when the blast occurred.
