The Accidental Prime Minister row: Here’s what wife Kirron Kher has to say on Anupam Kher’s upcoming film

Within minutes after the most awaited film, The Accidental Prime Minister movie’s trailer was out, on which whole nation had kept its eye a fresh controversy was triggered by the grand old party Congress-ruled by Gandhis. Reacting on the ongoing protest on the film, actor and BJP MP Kirron Kher, wife of Anupam Kher, a reel life ‘Manmohan Singh’ called it a pathbreaking film.

Kirron Kher, who is known for her out-spoken personality said, “People who speak of freedom of speech i.e Rahul Gandhi, must now practice what he preaches. Anupam told me people will fall in love with Manmohan Singh ji. It should be India’s official entry to the Oscars.”


Earlier, on Friday, veteran actor Anupam Kher reacted to the row over his upcoming film ‘The Accidental Prime Minister’ and said, “More they protest, more publicity they will give to the film. The book has been out since 2014, no protests were held since then, so the film is based on that.”

The movie that stars Anupam Kher, Akshay Khanna, Aahana Kumra, Suzanne Bernet and Arjun Mathur will be released on January 11th 2019 in the election season.
