Special Police Officer Khushboo Jan killed by terrorist outside her residence in J&K
A Special Police Officer Khushboo Jan was shot dead by terrorists outside her residence in Shopian District in Jammu and Kashmir.
The Jammu and Kashmir Police has said, “She sustained critical injuries and was evacuated to hospital where she succumbed. We condemn this gruesome terror act & stand by her family at this critical juncture.”
News agency ANI tweeted informing, “J&K Police: Terrorists today fired on a police woman Khushboo Jan at her village in Vehil area of Shopian district. She sustained critical injuries & was evacuated to hospital where she succumbed. We condemn this gruesome terror act & stand by her family at this critical juncture.”

She was shot at around 2:40 pm today at a close range, about 60 kms away from capital Srinagar, she was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, where she was declared brought dead.
Former CM Omar Abdullah tweeted saying, “A lady special police officer (SPO) was shot & killed outside her home in South Kashmir earlier today. I condemn this act of terror & extend my condolences to her family & all her J&K police colleagues.”
