A shocking news has come to light from Guwahati where Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted with black flags on Friday by the angry activists who were protesting against the controversial Citizenship Amendment Bill.

PM Modi is on his two-day tour to the Northeast states and after landing to Guwahati, protestors have shown the black flags and also greeted with "Narendra Modi, Go Back" slogans while PM was heading to Raj Bhawan from the airport.

Moreover, there is a possibility that several civil society groups across the Northeast, including All Assam Students Union, will also intensify the protests in view of PM Modi’s visit.
However, PM Modi will be going to lay the foundation of several big projects during his visit to the state. He will also be going to lay the foundations of several projects in Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura and Assam.

Meanwhile, the protests over Citizenship Amendment Bill is still continued in the Northeast and there are the expectations that it might be intensified during PM Modi visit to the state.

However, this would be Modi’s first visit to the region ever since the massive protests sparked in the region over the bill that will be going to tabled soon in the Rajya Sabha soon. The lower house had already passed the bill which raised the protests early last months.
