BJP leader Giriraj Singh has claimed that suicide bombers are being trained at Dehli’s Shaheen Bagh which he said is part of a larger conspiracy plotted against the country.

"Shaheen Bagh is no longer just a movement. Here, suicide bombers are being trained. There is a conspiracy against the country in the country's capital," Giriraj Singh wrote on Twitter on Thursday.

A demonstration against the amended Citizenship Act, in which a large number of women are taking part, is underway at Delhi’s Shaheen Bagh area since mid-December.

In the run-up to Delhi Assembly polls, BJP lawmakers, have branded the Shaheen Bagh protest and protesters sitting there as anti-nationals.

Previously, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had launched an attack on Shaheen Bagh, Jamia and Seelampur, stating that it was not a coincidence, but an experiment and a political conspiracy to sabotage country’s peace.

On 28th January, BJP MP Pravesh Verma had stated that what happened in Kashmir with Kashmiri Pandits could happen in Delhi, warning that lakhs of anti-CAA protesters in Shaheen Bagh could enter homes to kill and rape women.

While the Congress party termed it a democratic protest, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal when targeted by BJP leaders put the blame for continued demonstartion at Shaheen Bagh on the Modi government.

He charged the BJP of carrying out dirty politics and stated that the protest will end a day after Delhi elections. He further stated that the BJP doesn’t want the Shaheen Bagh protest to end before Delhi polls.
