In a shocking incident, a Hyderabad-based physiotherapist succumbed to injuries in a paragliding crash in Himachal Pradesh’s Kullu on Saturday.

As per the reports, the man was identified as Chandra Shekar who worked at a local hospital in the ECIL in Hyderabad.

According to Shekar’s sister named Uma Maheshwari told ANI that her brother was in Kullu Manali to spend his vacations since August 8. On Saturday, they received the news about Shekhar’s accident while paragliding and also he was sustained severe injuries.

Along with Chandra Shekar, the parachute operator was also suffered from injuries and he had a fracture after the craft fell to the ground. However, both of them rushed to the hospital via flight from a hill in Kullu-Manali.

"My brother was immediately shifted to a local hospital but the doctors declared him brought dead," said Uma Maheshwari.

She further added that they sought the government’s help in bringing the doctor’s mortal remains back to the home in Hyderabad. Uma also appealed for an ex-gratia for the family as their entire family was dependent on Shekhar. As the untimely death of Shekar will bring a lot of trouble in their lives.
