RS Pura attack: Haryana CM announces Rs 50 lakh compensation to kin of deceased BSF Jawan Sushil Kumar

On 25 October, Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal Khattar announced a compensation of Rs. 50 Lakh for the family of BSF Jawan, Sushil Kumar who lost his life after sustaining serious injuries during ceasefire violations in RS Pura Sector of Jammu and Kashmir.

BSF Jawan, Sushil Kumar who sustained serious injuries during a ceasefire violation by Pakistan rangers along the International Border in RS Pura Sector in Jammu district passed away on 24 October.

Another local resident sustained bullet injuries as the Pakistan Rangers once again violated the at RS Pura sector in Jammu district on 23 October for the second time in less than 5 hours as they fired from small arms targeting the Indian posts.

On Friday night, Pakistan Rangers had targeted the border hamlets and border outposts (BoP) with mortar shells and had opened fire from automatic weapons along the IB at RS Pura sector.

Seven Pakistan Rangers personnel and a terrorist were killed and three others seriously injured in a befitting retaliatory action by the BSF as the Pakistani troops had targeted six sectors in Jammu, Kathua, Samba, Poonch and Rajouri districts of Jammu and Kashmir.

Gurnam Singh (26), a BSF jawan injured in a sniper attack on Friday, succumbed in a Jammu hospital on 22 October.
