Rahul Gandhi wedding rumours! 'It is a propaganda in wake of the Karnataka Elections, aimed to malign our image, says Congress MLA Aditi Singh
The wedding rumours of Congress chief Rahul Gandhi and MLA Aditi Singh has been making rounds on social media. Annoyed over it the Congress MLA from Rae Bareli, Aditi Singh expressed her anger on Sunday. "I am really saddened by the way such baseless rumours are being spread. Rahul ji is like an elder brother to me. I ritualistically tie rakhi on his hands. Those behind the link up are absolutely wrong and aimed to malign my image and that of Rahul Gandhi ji," she told TOI hours after she expressed anger on Twitter.
On who could be behind the rumours and what could be their intention, Aditi said, "My wedding with Rahul Gandhi is propaganda in wake of the Karnataka elections. the intention appears to distract Congress leadership and workers who are toiling in Karnataka. And it is anyone's guess on who could be behind it."
Earlier, photographs of Rahul Gandhi and Aditi Singh with their families with captions such as 'Rahul Gandhi has finally found a match' were doing rounds on social media sites including WhatsApp on Saturday. The pictures bagged mixed reactions on it and left 29-year-old MLA from Rae Bareli in an embarrassing situation.
Reacting to the rumours on Sunday morning, Aditi tweeted that she was very upset over the rumours of her wedding with Rahul Gandhi. "Rahul Gandhi ji mere rakhi wale bhai hai. yeh afwah matra hai (Rahul Gandhi ji is like an elder brother to me. I tie rakhi to him. this is a mere rumour)," she tweeted.

Aditi also warned those behind the rumour stating, "afwaah failane wale baaz ayen (those behind the rumour must mind themselves)." In another tweet, Aditi clarified that the pictures used to support the baseless rumours were taken during Sonia Gandhi's recent visit to Rae Bareli.

Aditi Singh is a daughter of five-time MLA from Rae Bareli Sadar seat, Aditi made her debut in politics in 2017 on a Congress ticket. she is said to be close to Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.
