Rahul Gandhi will travel out of the country for a short visit, his official twitter handle confirmed on Monday without saying anything about the destination.
His tweet came a day after he turned 46. He also thanked his followers for wishing him on his birthday.

Gandhi took a sabbatical after a string of electoral losses, earlier in the year. His return, though, was marked by a series of unsparing attacks on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government over issues concerning farmers, landless labourers, etc.
The conditions under which he has taken a leave this time are also more or less similar with the Congress facing heavy defeats in state Assembly elections and the recent Rajya Sabha vote.
