Pulwama Attack: Railway tracks blocked in Mumbai's Nalasopara over protest of terror blast in Kashmir

A group of protesters have blocked the railway tracks in Mumbai’s Nalasopara in protest of Pulwama’s terrorist attack which has killed over 40 CRPF personnel.

The protesters, on Saturday, blocked the rail tracks at around 8 am and it included locals, office goers among others. Train services in Mumbai have been affected in and around the Nalasopara area.


The Government Railway Police and Railway Protection Force personnel are trying to evacuate the protesters from the tracks and maintain the situation as the protesters are continuously increasing.

Western Railway tweeted informing “Several protesters have blocked the tracks at Nallasopara due to which train movement has been affected at Nallasopara & beyond. GRP, RPF are making efforts to convince the people & evacuate the tracks & normalize the train movement.”

A railway spokesperson, briefing about the protest said, “Due to protesters on track at Nalasopara, Western Railway suburban trains are running between Churchgate and Vasai Road. RPF and railway officials are trying their best to convince protesters to clear the tracks.”

Meanwhile, the NSG which is investigating the case has submitted the first post blast analysis report to the Ministry of Home Affairs, and has confirmed that the SUV car was packed with 100-150kgs of RDX. Most evidence have been washed away in rain as the wreckage was lying on the road and the suicide bomber used a slip road to come on the national highway.
