Prime Minister Narendra Modi uses every platform to raise awareness about climate change and he has always been at the forefront of making the fight against it a people's movement.
Not only does he convey his message through speeches, but also through gestures, such as plogging at a beach in Mahabalipuram in 2019 or picking up a broom and sweeping the streets
Today, Prime Minister Modi wore a blue jacket in the Lok Sabha that carried a message. The jacket, sky blue in color, was made from recycled plastic bottles. He chose to wear it while delivering a Motion of Thanks to the President's address in the Lok Sabha.
Notably, the jacket was gifted to PM Modi by the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) at the India Energy Week in Bengaluru. The IOC will recycle over 10 crore plastic bottles to make sustainable garments for IOC employees and armed forces.
