Ahead of the several time Parliamentary discussion disrupted in the month of March, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will go on a full day fast on April 12 opposing the disruption caused by the oppositions.

However, the PM Modi will be working on Thursday while he keeps a fast along with other BJP leader in protest against disruptions in parliament. BJP president Amit Shah will also join PM Modi in the protest, but he will be in Karnataka's Hubli.

The ruling-BJP government has blamed the opposition, Congress and Sonia Gandhi for the disruptions that meant that the budget session of parliament was a lost cause.

According to TOI, a day before on Wednesday, Modi will address MPs through video conferencing and interact with some of them on the day when the MPs will be holding "Samata Diwas" in their respective constituencies on the occasion of Jyotiba Phule birth anniversary.

The PM Modi's fast protest announcement was made a day after Congress chief Rahul Gandhi lead a similar protest against the BJP-led government at the Centre to promote peace and communal harmony.

As per reports, earlier, PM Modi on Friday had accused the opposition of divisive politics and announced that BJP MPs will observe a fast on April 12 to protest the impasse in Parliament, for which he blamed the Congress.
