Petrol and diesel prices slashed, effective 16 April onwards

Effective 16 April midnight onwards, petrol and diesel prices have reportedly been slashed considerably.
The prices for petrol and diesel are set to be decreased by Rs 0.74 per litre, and Rs 1.30 per litre, respectively.
The reduction will be effective from midnight tonight, Indian Oil Corp (IOC) said.
Petrol will now cost Rs 59.20 a litre, and diesel will be available at a rate of Rs 47.20 per litre post the change in rates.
Prices of petrol and diesel were last revised with effect from 2 April by a cut of Rs 0.49 per litre and Rs 1.21 per litre respectively.
