In an extremely bizarre incident, an electric loco of the Tughlakabad shed was reported missing last month in June and the Indian Railways has launched a massive hunt operation to trace it.

The Railway Board has ordered all railway zones to direct the 60,000 strong force of loco pilots and assistant loco pilots to be a part of the search and assist at required steps.

According to a Zee News report, an engine with number 23384 was slated to arrive at its home shed (Tughlakabad) on 15 June for repair. However, it didn't reach the destination.

Concerned officials, the report stated, assumed that the loco had been taken to some other place.

When the engine didn't arrive even by the end of the month, the officials smelled some trouble and reported the matter to the Railway Board.
