An army soldier and two militants were killed on 25 November in an encounter in Bandipora district of north Kashmir.
Meanwhile, in another encounter in Sopore district, two infiltration attempts were foiled by Indian Army along the International Border, reports News18.
"The 22 Rashtriya Rifles jawans posted along the Line of Control foiled two infiltration bids. They noticed suspicious movement near the International Border at Tujjar Sharief in Sopore, and in Bandipora district. They challenged the infiltrators, who opened fire," a source in the Army told News18.
The encounter comes days after two terrorists were killed in Bandipora and several notes of Rs 2000 were recovered from them. While launching the demonetisation programme on 8 November, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said that the terrorist activities in India were funded by the use of conterfeit notes.
Details awaited.
