Non-bailable warrant issued against BJP MP Manoj Tiwari for failing to appear in court

Speed News Desk | Updated on: 10 February 2017, 1:50 IST

A local court in Uttar Pradesh issued a non-bailable warrant on 21 May against BJP MP Manoj Tiwari, state Cabinet ministers Shivpal Yadav, Parasnath Yadav and two others in a case related to alleged violation of model code of conduct during the 2009 Lok Sabha polls.

The warrant was issued against the BJP MP as he was the star campaigner of Samajwadi Party at that time.

The court directed the Superintendent of Police to produce them in court on 14 June. The non-bailable warrant has been issued as these leaders failed to appear in court.
