Nitish Kumar's JD(U) not to be NDA's part outside Bihar; to fight all four Assembly polls alone

Nitish Kumar-led Janta Dal (United) JD(U) has on Sundy announced that it will not be a part of Prime Minister Narendra Mod-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) outside the state of Bihar. It will fight all four Assembly polls alone.

JD(U) will fight the upcoming elections in all the four states---Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Haryana and Delhi alone, the party said. The decision was taken in the party's National Executive Meeet, reported news agency ANI.

JD(U) national general secretary KC Tyagi had said the party is independent in all the other states and will remain NDA's ally only in Bihar.

"The alliance is limited to Bihar only and not outside it. Hence the party is independent in all the other states and is committed to working for the propagation of its legacy of the socialist movement," Tyagi had said.

Meanwhile, earlier in March also, Nitish Kumar-led Janata Dal (United) had come out with a clarification that party's alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is limited only to the state of Bihar.
