Nirmala Sitharaman admitted to Delhi’s AIIMS hospital
Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on December 26 admitted to AIIMS Delhi hospital for routine check-ups, officials said as quoted by ANI. The Minister was taken to the hospital at around noon and has been admitted to a private ward.

The Union Finance Minister will present the Union Budget on February 1, 2023. On December 23 hinted that the upcoming Budget will ‘follow the spirit’ of previous Budgets and continue to push growth.
From November 21 to 28, FM Sitharaman held a virtual pre-budget consultation meeting.
Last week, Nirmala Sitharaman said that the Centre is continuously keeping track of inflation to ensure that there is no spike in prices.
Amid news of a global slowdown, the Union Finance Minister expressed confidence that global economic activity will not be mirrored in India’s performance as the country has already put in place a 'very good framework' in place to address supply-side pressures on food prices.
The retail inflation based on the consumer price index (CPI) has remained above the Reserve Bank's comfort level of 6 per cent since January.
