Mumbai: 4 killed, 14 injured after massive fire breaks out in Crystal Tower near Hindmata Cinema in Parel; several trapped, rescue underway
Mumbai: Massive Fire breaks out in high-rise residential tower in Parel. A Level-3 fire has broken out in Crystal Tower near Hindmata Cinema in Parel area. Ten firefighting tenders have rushed to the spot. People trapped inside the tower are being rescued using a crane. A rescue operation is underway.
4 killed and atleast 14 people injured and several trapped inside were rescued using cranes. Some people were taken to hospital after the rescue.
Some of the residents were seen getting on to the crane from the top floor. The number of people trapped inside the Crystal Tower is not known. 20 fire tenders rushed to Crystal Tower near Hindmata Cinema in Parel where the fire broke out on the 12th floor of the tower.
KEM Hospital Dean says,"Total 16 were brought to hospital, of which 2 were brought dead; 1 is a senior citizen lady & other is a male, condition of others stable."
Plumes of smoke were seen from the building, Crystal Tower, near Hindmata Cinema in Mumbai's Parel.
