In a bid to justify the mob lynching happening in the name of cow, Senior Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leader Indresh Kumar reportedly said that the problem, probably he meant of mob lynching will be sorted out if the killing of cow stops.

However, Kumar condemned the lynching incidents. And he further claimed that other religions too including Christianity and Islam do not condone the killings of cows and it is considered a sin.

“Jesus was born in the gaushala, that’s why they call cow mother. In Mecca and Madina, they consider the kill of cow a crime, can we not imagine that if humanity is rid of sin of killing cows, the problem (mob lynching) will be solved,” ANI quoted Kumar as saying.

He further said “the violence committed by any mob whether it is from your home, town and party, is not welcoming. Yet tell me one religious place where the cow is killed”.

He was reportedly addressing media on the Alwar lyching of last week. On Friday, a 31-year-old Muslim man who hails from Haryana’s Mewat district was lynched by a mob. Rakhbar Khan, who succumbed to injuries in hospital, was attacked by a group of 8-10 cow vigilantes.

According to media reports, the police, who reached the spot taking too much time, did not rush the victim to the hospital immediately. The police first took cow to shelter then admitted the victim in the hospital.
