MJ Akbar #MeToo case: Priya Ramani summoned by Patiala House Court as accuse in Defamation case, to appear on Feb 25

In a major development in the #MeToo and defamation case of MJ Akbar, the Patiala House Court has summoned journalist Priya Ramani as an accused before the court and has asked her to appear on February 25.

Priya Ramani had earlier issued sexual harassment allegation against MJ Akbar, who was then the Union Minister of State for External Affairs and had to quit after a protest by the activists and the social media outrage which was eventually being covered by the mainstream media as well.


News agency ANI tweeted while informing, “MJ Akbar's defamation case against journalist Priya Ramani: Delhi's Patiala House Court has issued summons to Priya Ramani as an accused. She has to appear before the court on next date of hearing on February 25.”
