Following the trends of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis also visited the Himalayan shrine of Kedarnath in Uttarakhand on Wednesday, ahead of state assembly election results.

Earlier in May 2019, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also visited the Kedarnath shrine to seek the blessings of Lord Shiva ahead of Lok Sabha results.

Fadnavis also took to Twitter and shared pictures of his visit. He captioned, “Took darshan & blessings at Kedarnath temple, this morning. Har Har Mahadev!”

It was Fadnavis’ personal visit to the temple, Rudraprayag District Magistrate Mangesh Ghildiyal said.

Maharashtra CM visited the temple along with his wife Amrita and performed puja at the Lord Shiva shrine and spent about an hour in the premises of shrine talking to priests.

Fadnavis is seeking a second term in office in Maharashtra where assembly elections were held on 21 October, and counting of votes is currently underway.
