Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday extended hands for an alliance with Congress and appealed Rahul Gandhi to consider a move to defeat the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Haryana in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. However, earlier, AAP failed to stitch an alliance with Congress in Delhi.

Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday extended another proposal to Congress chief Rahul Gandhi for a three-way alliance comprising Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Jannayak Janata Party and Congress in Haryana. "Let's come together in Haryana to defeat the BJP," Arvind Kejriwal said at a press conference.

“Today, I have a proposal for Rahul Gandhi to form an alliance of JJP-AAP-Congress in Haryana so that we defeat BJP in all 10 seats in Haryana & it'll play a big role in defeating the Modi-Shah Jodi at the national level. In Delhi, we will win without Congress,” ANI quoted Arvind Kejriwal saying.

Arvind Kejriwal said that the ‘jodi’ of Narendra Modi and Amit Shah is ‘very dangerous for the country.

‘It's important to defeat them. The whole country is divided into two sides – the first side includes devotees of Prime Minister Modi who want to vote for him and the second side includes the people who want to defeat Prime Minister,” Kejriwal said.

Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday agreed to go solo in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections after Congress rejected to the alliance.
