Lok Sabha Election Results 2019: Smriti Irani leads in Amethi; Rahul Gandhi crawls

Union Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party candidate from Congress' home turf Uttar Pradesh's Amethi is leading in the early trends. Congress chief Rahul Gandhi, who is fighting for his fourth term, is seen trailing in early trends.

According to early trends, Smriti Irani is leading with 2000 votes. Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi is ahead from Wayanad constituency in Kerala. Earlier, in 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Rahul Gandhi defeated Smriti Irani with around 1 lakh seats.


The 38-day polling process of the Lok Sabha Elections 2019 concluded and the results are to be declared today. Fate of 8,040 candidates to be decided. The counting of votes began at 8 a.m and the early trends shows massive leads of BJP-led NDA.
