Controversial spiritual leader Gurmeet Ram Rahim was convicted in the rape case of two women on 25 August. The special CBI court found him guilty of the crime and the verdict led to violence in Haryana and Delhi NCR.

The self-style godman has been taken into the custody and now the question is – who is going to be the successor of Dera properties?

Punjab-Haryana court has given a historic decision to seize the properties of the Dera. But still people are eager to know that who is going to be the next owner of the Dera.

The quantum of punishment will be announced on 28 August and it is expected that Ram Rahim will be jailed for 7 years.

It was earlier believed that the successor of Dera could be Ram Rahim's son, Jasmeet Singh but the rules dictate that the next Dera chief could not be from the family of the current heads.

If the media reports are to be believed, 35-years-old Guru Brahmachari's Vipasana is likely to be the next Dera chief after Ram Rahim.

According to the report, Vipasana has completed her graduation from the girls college run by Dera.
She has a team of 250 people out of which 150 are the women. Vipasna governs social services run by the Dera. She also indulges in blood donation camps for the army and also help for the needy and poor devotees.
