Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on 3 October released a video message congratulating and saluting Prime Minister Narendra Modi for conducting surgical strikes across the Line of Control (LoC) on the night of 28 September.
"The Prime Minister and I could have hundreds of differences but I salute PM Modi for conducting surgical strikes and give a befitting reply to Pakistan," Kejriwal said in the video message.
The Pakistan army has dismissed claims that India's military conducted "surgical strikes" against "terrorist units" on its side of the border in Kashmir region. Pakistan rejected the claims as an "illusion" but acknowledged the loss of two of its soldiers in the exchange of fire that also wounded nine others on Thursday.
Responding to Pakistan's claim, Kejriwal said, "My blood boils to see such reports. Pakistan is conspiring and lying about not conducting surgical strikes. I appeal to the PM to counter Pakistan's propaganda similar. The entire country stands by you. We all support you."
