Taking a dig over the BJP-led Narendra Modi government over the rising cases of the sexual violence against women and minors, Congress supremo Rahul Gandhi on Monday question PM Modi about justice for daughters and to fast-track those cases. Mr Gandhi also questioned if he is serious about the giving justice to India's daughters.

Rahul Gandhi took Twitter to attack PM Modi, by posting a data of 2016 rape of minor reported in 2016. He tweeted, PM should fast-track these cases and punish the guilty if he is serious about providing “justice for our daughters”.

The eight-year-old Bakarwal girl was brutally raped and murdered by eight men in Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua. The minor was abducted by 8 men for a week including a juvenile and gang-raped in a Hindu temple and later scrambled to death. While, in UP's Unnao district, a 17-year-old girl was allegedly raped by BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar in June last year.

The girl when attempted to commit suicide in front of CM Yogi Adityanath's residence the case came in limelight. The victim's father was beaten by the politician’s brother Atul Sengar that led her death in police custody.

Prime Minister Modi breaking his silence over the cases, last week said that the country’s “daughters” would “definitely get justice”. “I want to assure the country that no culprit will be spared, complete justice will be done. Our daughters will definitely get justice,” he said.
