Two civilians, including a woman were shot dead today by Indian security forces in Qazigund town of south Kashmir's Anantnag district.
According to reports, the troopers of the Rashtriya Rifles allegedly opened fire at a group of civilians who were peacefully protesting in Chowgam area of Qazigund.
In the firing, several people were left injured. Two of them, including a woman, succumbed to their injuries while being shifted to the hospital.
Meanwhile, curfew remained in place in all 10 Kashmir districts to thwart protests and clashes. Mobile and internet services also remained shut for 11th straight day and only BSNL broadband services remained functional.
