Terrorists attacked a Border Security Force convoy today killing two jawans and injuring seven others. The attack took place on the highway in Samruli, 10 km from Udhampur in Jammu.
BSF retaliated and one terrorist was killed in the cross firing. Additional forces are now in the area.
Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah expressed concerns about the attack as the area had remained largely militant free.
An attack on this stretch of the NH after a very long time. Worrying development because area was militant free. https://t.co/F74uhpOLYS
