Jammu and Kashmir: Another terrorist killed in the ongoing operation in Poonch district

Security forces killed another terrorist on 12 September morning during the ongoing operation in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district.

Now, the number of the terrorists killed in the operation that started on 11 September morning has risen to four.

Earlier on Monday, firing resumed at the encounter site.

Three militants and a policeman were killed on Sunday in the Poonch encounter.

According to The Times of India, the attack began as terrorists holed up in an under-construction building close to an Army camp opened fire at police when the latter tried to cordon off the premises.

The encounter between security forces and the militants, who were holed up in a house and another structure near the under-construction mini secretariat, erupted at around 7.30am and continued through the day.

In another incident, four Pakistanis were killed at the Line of Control in Nowgam sector, Kupwara, during an alleged infiltration bid on Sunday, reports TOI.

Two other infiltration bids along the LoC, at Tangdhar in Kupwara and Gurez in Bandipora were reported on Sunday.
