Indian Railways is the easiest and the cheapest mode of public transport to travel a long distance in less time with pocket-friendly tickets. However, if our journey is unplanned and we have to travel in an emergency, the big headache is the booking ticket. And that too if one has to book window ticket. The long queue at the ticket booking counter at the railway station is no less than a head-ache or torture.
However, there is good news for all, if you want to book a General ticket, you need not to stand in a long queue. One can now book General train ticket online from IRCTC just like Reservation tickets.now, with UTS App, one can avail the benefit for general train tickets online booking.
To book tickets on (Unreserved Ticketing Service (UTS) App:
-One need to download the free ‘UTS on mobile’ App through Google/Windows/Apple app stores.
-Register yourself by providing personal details like mobile number, nearest station, default booking train type, class, ticket type, number of passengers and frequently travelled routes.
-After successful registration, a zero-balance R-Wallet account will be activated.
-After R-Wallet os activated, one need to recharge it using your debit card/ net banking.
-Log in using user id and password
-Select the ‘Book Ticket’ option
-Select from among the options of quick booking, normal booking, platform ticket and season ticket.
-If you want to book a ticket for the station within 2km, go for a normal booking option.
-Select source station and destination from the drop-down menu
-Select passenger type, ticket type, class, train type and payment type
-Click on ‘Book Ticket’
With these easy steps now travellers can book tickets online, hassle-bustle free. Earlier, people could only book Reservation tickets online.
