High Alert in Ayodhya! Ahead of Shiv Sena and VHP Dharam Sabha, IB suspect few terrorists have entered UP; security beefed up

Amidst the campaigning in Ayodhya for constructing a Ram Temple, the Intelligence Bureau has sounded a high alert in Uttar Pradesh, stating that few terrorists might have entered Ayodhya.

The Dharam Sabha, which is being organized in Ayodhya by the Visva Hindu Parishad and the RSS, has seen more than 2 lakh workers and supporters gathering in the city and the Shiv Sena, along with Uddhav Thackeray and family have reached Ayodhya yesterday.

The city has been under heavy security cover after former CM Akhilesh Yadav had asked for Army to be deployed in Ayodhya. The Additional Directorate General of UP Police, along with PAC, Anti-Terrorist Squad and the state police have been camping in Ayodhya.

A senior official of the Intelligence Bureau has said that the alert has been sounded and the security arrangements have been tightened in Ayodhya and other religious places of the state.

“We received alert by IB (Intelligence Bureau) a few days back, it was a non-specific alert. Action is being take. People from intelligence agencies under state govt&centre have been deployed there&are monitoring the situation,” said ADG(law&order) on input by IB of an attack in Ayodhya.

The ADG (law & order) of UP Police, while addressing the reporters added that “Heavy deployment of CAPF( Central Armed Police Forces), PAC (Provincial Armed Constabulary), ATS (Anti-Terrorism Squad) has been done. Drone cameras being used to assess crowd. 13 parking spots have been designated, 2000 buses from various places have come to Ayodhya.”

The demand of Ram Temple in Ayodhya by the right-wing is not new but in last two days, the incoming of workers in Ayodhya has raised an alarm of a possible terror attack.

Intensive checking is taking place at all the rligious places and hotels, Dharamshalas are also being searched. All the tourist spots in Ayodhya and other regional places are also put under surveillance.
