Haryana: Class 12 student stabbed to death by classmates over talking to a girl

A student of class-12 from the Indus Public School was stabbed to death by his classmates over talking to a girl. The student succumbed to injuries on Sunday night at the Medanta Hospital in Gurugram.

The deceased was identified as Ankush is 18-year-old. The school which is based in Pillu Kher town is owned by Haryana finance minister Captain Abhimanyu’s family.


Reportedly, the classmates who killed Ankush were harboring grudge against him over a petty fight over talking to a girl. The four classmates thrashed him along with his friends and stabbed him.

The fight allegedly started over talking to a girl in the class. According to the police, the four accused had carried knives in their school bags and they attacked the five victims when the teacher left the class. After the intervention of the faculty, they stopped and fled the spot threatening to ‘finish them later’.

The deceased was stabbed in his stomach and back. Another friend of the victim also got critical injuries. They were taken to the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (PGIMS) Rohtak and then the Ankush’s family moved him to the Medanta Hospital in Gurugram.

The police said that they have registered a case against the four accused, who culd be minor, under section 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), 324 (causing hurt by dangerous weapons) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code. SHO Kishori Lal said “The accused will be arrested soon”.
