Counting is on for Haryana Assembly Elections 2019. Early trends have energised the Congress party and its leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda who has reportedly come back to Rohtak office. In the morning, Rohtak office wore a deserted look as Congress appeared hopeless of making any impact this time. But the fight is close as revealed by early trends till 10:30 am.

Early trends, wait for the final results: BJP
BJP spokespersons on various TV debates are maintaining that final numbers will go in BJP's favour and a clear picture will emerge around noon. BJP is confident of forming the government in Haryana. As for Maharashtra Assembly results, BJP and Shiv Sena are poised to form the government easily. Though the numbers are not what the saffron outfits had claimed during the campaigning.

Rural distress, unemployment, administration making an impact
Political commentators believe that this is not a pro-opposition vote, but rather some kind of backlash against the performance of the Haryana government under Manohar Lal Khattar. Rural distress and unemployment in the state have reduced the support against Khattar but still, this resentment of the masses is not significant enough to bring back Congress.
