Dera chief's daughter Honeypreet traced down to Barmer

In what is explained as a major breakthrough in the search for Honeypreet Insan, a close aide of the jailed Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, the police have tracked down the fugitive’s location to Rajasthan’s Barmer region. According to the police, Honeypreet’s location was traced to Barmer in the desert state following the interception of a call made from her mobile number to Dera’s top management.

The breakthrough came several days after a lookout notice was issued against the woman who is said to be Ram Rahim’s adopted daughter. She has been on the run ever since Gurmeet Ram Rahim was convicted in a rape case and was jailed.

However, there is still no definite clue about her whereabouts. “We have got no information regarding Honeypreet's location being traced to Barmer. If any communication regarding this matter comes to us, we will immediately take action,” U.R Sahoo, ADG (Intelligence) of Rajasthan informed Catch News.

In a bid to ensure her arrest, posters of Honeypreet Insan were posted in police stations bordering Nepal and the law and order authorities there were put on high alert. Honeypreet had accompanied the Dera head when he was brought to the special CBI court in Panchkula for the pronouncement of the verdict in the 15-year-old rape case and had travelled along with him in the special chopper which ferried him to Rohtak from Panchkula after the conviction.
