India's most wanted terrorist and notorious don, Dawood Ibrahim is suffering from a terminal case of gangrene, according to a CNNNews18 report.

According to the report, the doctors who are treating Dawood have revealed that his gangrene is at such an advanced stage that he cannot walk, and fear that they might have to amputate his legs.

The 1993 Mumbai serial blasts accused is receiving treatment at his residence in Karachi.

It is believed that Dawood's ailment was caused due to loss of effective local blood supply due to his high blood pressure and blood sugar. Loss of blood supply deprives tissues of oxygen, causing cells to die.

Doctors say his ailment could turn fatal. If Dawood dies in Pakistan then it will be a major blow to India's efforts to bring him to justice.
