CM sanctions Rs 20 lakh for kin of CRPF jawan killed in anti-Naxal operation

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh on 15 July sanctioned a sum of Rs 20 lakh as ex- gratia to the next of kin of Suresh Kumar, a CRPF jawan from the state who lost his life during an anti-Naxal operation in Sukma, Chhattisgarh in March.

Kumar, a resident of Sunhi village, Badoh tehsil of Kangra district, lost his life during the operation at the Vankupvada village in Sukma, Chhattisgarh on 11 March.

 

He was attached to the 219 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).

The chief minister also directed the deputy commissioner, Kangra to ensure the disbursement of the grant immediately to the kin of the slain jawan.
