Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda on Wednesday spoke to Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat and assured all kind of medical assistance, including a team of doctors for Char Dham yatra pilgrims.
Around 16 of 17 pilgrims who died during the pilgrimage in past 19 days, have reportedly lost their life due to cardiac arrest.
Devotees have blamed state government for the lack of cardiologists in health facilities set up on the yatra route for the rise in the number of cases.
The number of pilgrims for the annual 'Char Dham Yatra' has significantly increased in 2017.
