CAT 2015 results to be declared between 7 to 10 January

CAT 2015 convener Prof Tathagata Bandyopadhyay told Catch that the results will be declared in the second week of January, 2016.

The Common Admission Test (CAT) 2015 results are expected to be declared between January 7 and 14, 2016.

The official CAT 2015 website was shut down for maintenance from 6 pm on January 3 to 12 pm on January 4, fuelling rumours of the results being declared before time.

According to sources, the results should be out in the early part of the second week.

CAT 2015 was conducted by IIM Ahmedabad, with TCS as the test taking agency. More than 1,79,602 candidates, including 33% women, appeared for the exam on Sunday, November 29, 2015.

The Common Admission Test (CAT) is a national-level management entrance examination conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIM). The exam had three main sections:

Quantitative Aptitude (QA)

34 questions (60 minutes)

Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR)

32 questions (60 minutes)

Verbal and Reading Comprehension (VRC)

34 questions (60 minutes)

Total: 100

CAT scores are used for admission to various management courses in the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) and various other top B-Schools. Currently, 19 IIMs are functioning with two more expected to function very soon.

Last year, the CAT results were declared on December 27. More than 16 candidates secured 100 percentile.
