After the three weeks of the killing of a Police Inspector Subodh Kumar Singh and a local in mob violence in Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahr, Police have arrested the key suspect on Thursday who allegedly shot the cop on 3rd December.
The violence in the district erupted over the allegations of cow slaughter in an area. The suspect has been identified as Prashant Natt, who works as a cab driver in Delhi.
Reportedly, he killed the inspector Subodh Kumar Singh with his own revolver during protests.
Earlier, police had named Bajraj Dal activist Yogesh Rah who is still at large, the prime suspect of the killing of Singh’s murder.
As per the sources, Natt name was not mentioned in the FIR registered after the incident.
"During interrogation, cab driver has confessed to his involvement in the mob violence and also admitted that he had shot the bullet which killed the inspector," said Atul Kumar Srivastava, additional superintendent of police (ASP), Bulandhshahr city.
