Bulandshahr: 1 cop killed, 2 injured in a violent clash that broke between police, protesters over illegal slaughterhouses

In a violent protest broke out in Uttar Pradesh's Bulandshahr on Monday after clashes erupted between two groups over illegal slaughterhouse running in the city. At least 1 cop killed, 2 injured in the violent clash over illegal slaughterhouses protests.

"One police inspector dead during a clash with people protesting against illegal slaughterhouses in Bulandshahr," said District Magistrate Bulandshahr Anuj Jha. Cop has been identified as Subodh Kumar Singh.

Many vehicles were seen vandalised and set on fire by protesters. Meanwhile, more force has been called in Bulandshahr to maintain peace in the region.


A mob violence in Bulandshahr, UP after local outfits first stage jam and the go on a rampage angered by alleged discovery of parts of a dead cow.

Uttar Pradesh ADG (law and order) Anand Kumar spoke to India TV and said they had received complaint of animal remains in sugarcane fields.

"Those behind this will be identified. Arrests will be made soon," he told India TV. He also claimed that the situation in Bulandshahr was under control.
