Bihar: Shocking! Undertrial woman prisoner allegedly gang-raped by two policemen in hospital's washroom in Muzaffarpur

In a shameful incident, an undertrial woman prisoner was allegedly gang-raped by two policemen inside the washroom of a hospital in Bihar's Muzaffarpur. The woman prisoner was lodged in jail over the charges of kidnapping and was brought to the hospital on 11 November.

The woman was discharged from the hospital on 22 November. The woman alleged that she was raped on November 14 by two cops in the hospital.


The victim alleged that she was raped in prison ward's washroom in the hospital by two policemen. She also alleged that although two women constables had also been deployed at the ward, she had been escorted by the male constables to the lavatory, reported IndianExpress.

The incident came to light days after on Friday after the Jail Superintendent wrote to the state police on November 22 to register a case.

A case has been registered against the two policemen and investigation is underway. “We have asked two DSP level officers to look into the matter and take necessary action. We are also finding out why there was a delay in filing the FI,”.Muzaffarpur SSP Manoj Kumar said.
