Bhopal hostage case: 'I want Rohit to be hanged' says model freed after 12 hours when she agreed to marry jilted lover
The jilted lover kept Bhopal model hostage for over 12 hours in her flat and claimed if she doesn't confess her love to him, he will kill her. Finally, the model was freed after she agreed to marry him. For the first time model talked to media and said that “I want Rohit to be hanged. He kept me hostage. Rohit was saying that, if you do not get married then I will shoot you first and then kill myself. I agreed to the marriage to save lives. He had signed on stamp paper at the tip of a knife. If I had not agreed to him then maybe I was sitting here alive today.”
“On February 28, he also took a pistol and entered my house. He was putting pressure on me to marry again and again. I tried to get away from it, but he was bothering me. The daughter of retired AGM, model said that “when yesterday he made me hostage, beat me up. I was conscious, but I was dizzy. He was saying repeatedly see media has came, now I will become famous. My life was always in danger because of him. If he escapes from jail, then he can kill me and my family. he must be hanged.”
Rohit, the accused, has been taken to the spot for the police investigation. After which police produced him to court. Meanwhile, a woman reached and she started slapping him. The girls beat him with shoes and sandals. While Rohit said that his love for the model was not one-sided, she wants to marry him. He said 'she is refusing to marry under the pressure of her parents.”
The woman said in her statement in front of a magistrate last night, "Rohit alias Regal Singh threatened my life... He came to my house around 6 am and pushed me inside my room at gunpoint... He attacked and injured me... I had no option but to agree to marry him... But I do not want to marry him."
Rohit Singh is from Uttar Pradesh's Aligarh, had held a woman hostage claiming that he loves her and wanted to marry her. Cops said that the man has been sent for medical treatment.
