Bengaluru: Nigerian stabbed to death after fight over ‘lunch box’

Shocking news came to light when a 30-year-old Nigerian allegedly stabbed his fellow national in Hennur, east Bengaluru on Sunday.

Samuel a BBA student with KNS College allegedly stabbed 39-year-old Morado after latter slapped him over forgetting his lunch box at the joint. As per officials, Samuel and Morado were partying together at a friend’s house in Hennur on Friday night. On Saturday afternoon, Samuel took Morado’s tiffin box to buy chicken from Africans Kitchen in Hennur itself, as per police.


However, Samuel forgot the box at the food joint and brought the chicken in an aluminium foil. As soon as he reached the home Morado found his lunch-box missing. Morado who was in a drunk state slapped and abused him for forgetting his lunch box. Though Samuel returned to his room in Jakkur after the fight but couldn’t forget the insult and rode back to his residence in Janakiram Layout armed with a kitchen knife. At around 3 am he reached his place and knocked on the door as soon as Morado saw him he didn't open the door and asked him why he’d come. Samuel then asked him to apologise for slapping him.

As per neighbours police told that they could hear them shouting at 3:30 am. They told that as soon as Morado opened the door Samuel stormed in and stabbed him in his chest and stomach. The neighbours alerted the police but as by the time they reached Morado had died while Samuel was arrested hiding in the kitchen.
